Introduction
Recently, PairGears had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from a German drivetrain specialist to our manufacturing base in China. The visit was arranged to give the customer a clear, on-site view of our precision gear capabilities and to explore opportunities for long-term cooperation in agricultural machinery, truck, construction equipment and EV application.
In-Depth Product and Project Discussion
The visit began with a business meeting led by the PairGears management, sales and engineering teams. Both sides reviewed the customer's current and upcoming gearbox programs, focusing on gears and shafts for agricultural tractors, truck, industrial drives and commercial vehicles.
During the discussion, the teams aligned on:
-Required materials and heat treatment routes for high-torque, long-life gears
-Target accuracy classes and surface finish for European applications
-Sample development steps and drawing exchange
-Planned timelines for prototypes and potential series production
The German guests highly appreciated PairGears'ability to combine technical support with flexible manufacturing for small and medium-batch customized gears.
Factory Tour: From Rough Blanks to Finished Gears
After the meeting, the customer toured key workshops including turning, gear hobbing, shaping, grinding and heat treatment. On the shop floor, our engineers introduced typical products such as:
-Helical and spur gears for tractor and truck gearboxes
-Bevel gears and shafts for off-highway machinery
-Customized transmission parts for industrial equipment
The delegation carefully inspected ongoing production and sample parts, asking detailed questions about process control, tooling and fixture design. They were particularly interested in our CNC gear cutting and grinding equipment and how we ensure consistency across batches.
In the quality control area, the PairGears team demonstrated inspection procedures for tooth profile and lead, runout, hardness and metallurgical structure. The customer recognized that these controls are essential to meet demanding European performance and durability requirements.

To conclude the visit, both sides summarized the main points reached during the day: pilot projects to start with selected gears, clear communication channels for technical topics, and a step-by-step roadmap from samples to volume orders.
